The flag of Samoa is bazed on the historical flag from 1873. The resurrected version was designed in 1948 bearin only four stars in the blue canton. A fifth star was added one year later in order to display the real Southern Cross. Red & white were local colors but red is now said to represent the blood shed for the independence & the blue canton stand for the unity of the nation. The present pattern was adopted on 24 FEBRUARY 1949 & kept when Samoa became independent in 1962.
APIA, as the capital city,
is made of 63 village councils, named fono(s), headed by 63
chiefs, named matai(s).
The 100% NULL
