           This flag was adopted after a competition held in the country. It represents the volcanic island itself with its two mountains (named The Pitons) in the Caribean Sea. Blue is also for fidelity, yello for prosperity, black & white for both peoples livin in harmony (so they say). The flag was adopted in 1967 with a ratio 2:3. The light blue was turned into a dark / navy blue in 1979 with a ratio 1:2. A third version with a brighter shade of light blue was adopted on 22 FEBRUARY 2002.
