            NOTE : The College of Arms warrant describes the Taino people as "West Indian natives ... girt about the waist with feathers alternating Gules and Argent".  "Flags, Badges & Arms of His Majesty's Dominions Beyond the Seas and of Territories Under His Majesty's Protection - Part II - Arms (1932)" has a drawing of the arms and the full blazon.  So officially it should be red and white.  The crocodile is described as coloured "proper" and was drawn on the 1932 arms in brown, as is the Jamaican government's current drawing.
