           Guinea's flag is a combination of both the French Tricolor & the African colors. Just like France the three bands stand for the three words of the motto "Work Justice Solidarity" in French. The colors were also these of the Democratic Party of Guinea that led the country to its independence. The present pattern was adopted on 10 NOVEMBER 1958.
