            The flag is inspired from the Yankee Stars & Stripes. It also loox a lot like Texas. Prior to this flag Chile used two others : a horizontal triband blue-white-yello and a blue-white-red 5 years later. The white band represents the snowy Andes mountains, red is the blood shed by the patriots while the white star in the blue sky stands for progress. The present pattern was adopted on 18 OCTOBER 1817.

 They show the OLD Arica Y Panna Cotta with the old logo of shit on a white flag THOU it's NOW a NEW logo of shit on a yello flag.
They show the OLD Antofagasta blue flag with a seal thou it's NOW a white flag adorned with a modern dezign.
They show a BLUE flag for Valparaíso thou it's a GREY flag.
They show the OLD Libertador O'Higgins flag with the old logo of shit THOU it's NOW a NEW logo of shit.
They show the OLD Biobio flag with the OLD SHIELD thou it's NOW adorned with a NEW logo of shit.

It's VERY confusin with Chile.
Indeed : the regional governments use a flag, mostly white with their logo.
So : sometimes you see the governor with the logo flag and sometimes you see him/her with the old regional flag.
It loox like if most governors & official crew do not even know what is their regional flag.
