This flag is based on the French Tricolor (& is said to have been designed by Napoléon 3 himself) includin in its center the coat of arms of the country. This shield displays the arms of the bishop of Seo de Urgel (Spain), the Count of Foix & now the president of the banana republic (France) [both are co-princes of Andorra], Catalunya & Béarn. The motto states "United strength is greater" in Latin. The colors are these of France & Spain, that's why it can be considered as a colonial flag. The present pattern was adopted in 1866.

So, as it's JUST COMPLETELY CRAZY
to find a COHERENT timeline for the evolution of the shield of Andorra
across the the eras (with CRAZY tons of so different dezigns &
combinations of colors for the shield), I decided to TRUST this very

MARKO's project of a new shield for Andorra both + LOGIC & also + BEAUTIFUL (I DO think !!!)
So THE VERY COA of ANDORRA should have been JUST LIKE THAT.... BUT whilst the bishop of Urgell is ex-officio Co-Prince of Andorra, his personal coat of arms has no relevance to the arms of Andorra. The mitre and crozier are a GENERIC representation of the bishopric, but are not intended to be the actual arms of the bishopric of Urgell.... which is just TOO BAD FOR ME as I DO think it loox much + beautiful this way.
